It sounds obvious, but make sure you actually answer the questions; they are designed to prompt you to address the judging criteria. Answer clearly and concisely, say what you mean, and don't worry about writing a poetic masterpiece. Check you haven't repeated yourself across the entry - make the most of your word count by making each point well, but once. The judges simply want to know what you did, how you did it, and why it was great.
