With many specialised services required to make events what they are, the 2023 Awards have introduced the set of Industry Awards which recognises suppliers, their work and contribution to events between 1 July 2022 and 30 June 2023.
Co-Chair of the Judging Panel, Brenda LaPorte adds: “The transition to a new normal post-Covid has given us an opportunity to reassess how the award categories best reflect the breadth and depth of our industry. The awards is taking the direction to be more inclusive and recognise the contribution made by industry suppliers in the continued innovation and transformation of the events landscape. The Industry Award categories seek to highlight the importance of these suppliers and highlight some of the best companies operating in the events field.“

From risk management, sustainability, crowd management to HR, sponsorship and engineering, all these areas of expertise contribute to events that have been staged on home ground and overseas. Advisory Company of the Year category provides the opportunity to these companies to be recognised for their contribution to the staging of events.
Did you know...the National Winners of the Industry Award Categories are nominated for consideration for the headline category, Event Supplier of the Year...you could be walking away with two trophies and two titles!
Can the audience see the stage? Hear the artists or speakers? Did you contribute to making that happen? We have a few categories that recognise the innovation and creativity of production and technology to events - you can also enter more than one category and increase your chances for greater recognition!
Each event has its own unique needs and for each need, there's a service provider offering their personnel and equipment to meet the requirements. Service Company of the Year provides a space for companies offering logistics, rigging, medical, cleaning and waste, volunteer or staff recruitment, traffic control, photography and videography to be recognised for their contribution to the success of the event.
"Without these services, the event just wouldn't be the same and we are aiming to give credit and recognition to the importance these players play in the successful staging and outcomes of events" says Ian Steigrad, Managing Director of the Awards.
Security companies offering threat and vulnerability assessments, creation of security management plans and HVM plans or security personnel to aide in the delivery of events are recognised for their outstanding services in Security Company of the Year.
Companies entering this category will have their entry peer reviewed by the industry judging panel and receive constructive feedback with the National Winner going on to compete for the Supplier of the Year Headline Award.
