That’s another year done and celebrated! The Australian Event Awards ceremony at Le Montage in Sydney on October 23 recognised and rewarded the best work from across the entire Australian events industry over the last financial year. Thirty-two trophies were handed out and there was joy – and some disbelief – amongst the winners (especially the handful who took home multiple categories). Aside from the venue and the Event Awards partners, the ceremony also showcased emerging event entertainers.
Four entertainment acts interspersed the trophy presentations throughout the night, while the ceremony was guided by Master of Ceremonies Jessica Kalalo (also known as MC Jess).
The opening performance was given by pop duo Like Angels, who are keeping it in the family - sisters Emmalisa and Sarah Engelbrecht are independent artists, live musicians and content creators based in Sydney.
Learn More About Like AngelsReminiscent of 70's singer-songwriters, the pre-dinner performance from Frankie and Charles had a contemporary sonic aesthetic.
