Finalist Profile: Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival

Speaking of Queensland, one standout event from the sunshine state in last year's Awards was the record-breaking Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival 2017, which was a finalist in Visit Sunshine Coast Best Tourism Event. This festival cleverly leverages the financial impact of tourism created by the festival so the event itself can be free to attendees. Judges were impressed with their effective mix of promotional activities, the thorough planning and communications, and innovative partnerships such as their collaboration and consultation with the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

Category Focus: Best New Product

In the interest of encouraging and rewarding innovation, a new category has been introduced to recognise new products. To enter Best New Product, you'll need to be an event or supplier who has introduced a fresh product to the market during the eligibility period, or released a substantially improved version of an existing product that enhances events. Imagine the national exposure your new product will receive if it becomes a finalist or winner in the Event Awards! This category is also available for sponsorship, if you like the idea of your brand being synonymous with pioneering inventions.
