If you know you’re going to enter your event or your work into the Australian Event Awards this year, act now to take advantage of the Early Starters Discount (more on that below).
For those who are not yet sure about entering the awards, there really IS a category for every kind of event and achievement across the entire Australian events industry, including for Australians working their magic overseas.

The Early Starters discount rewards those who commit to an entry - or entries - early.
If you start and pay for an entry by June 11, you'll save $67 per entry and you'll still have the entire entry period until August 5 to complete and finesse your submission(s).
For those entering multiple categories, the savings add up.
You can enter the same event into multiple categories, providing you meet the eligibility requirements for each category. You can also enter multiple projects across various categories to maximise recognition of your work.
The Australian Event Awards are an unrivalled opportunity to be recognised for your work in the events industry, with 33 categories covering every kind of event and industry niche.
A win at the Australian Event Awards carries serious weight - each entry is comprehensively assessed by multiple judges from an independent panel of industry experts.
The judges also give feedback to each entrant, providing you with an objective critical perspective on what was great and what could be improved.
Keen to enter the Event Awards but not sure where your work fits? Here are some tips to help you figure it out.
Your first stop should be the categories page where you can see all 33 categories available for you to enter. By clicking through to categories where you think you might fit, you'll see the baseline eligibility requirements for the category as well as how the judges will score your entry.
Your next stop should be the online entry portal. Once you've made a free account on the portal, you'll be able to download all the entry form questions for any categories you're interested in. If you can answer the entry questions easily, this is an indication that you're a good fit for the category.
Did you organise an exceptional convention this financial year?
The Event Awards has two categories to recognise Australia's best small or large conference - those with less than 500 delegates and those with 500 or more delegates.
If you put together an innovative and engaging corporate conference that delivered big outcomes or a logistically complex years-in-the-making international association meeting highlighting ground-breaking research, these are the categories for you.
Apart from entering, there are other ways to be an essential part of the Event Awards.
We are constantly looking for experienced event industry leaders to join the judging panel to help determine Australia's best events and industry achievements.
We're also always open to new partnerships. These can take a variety of forms: businesses that can help us deliver the Awards Ceremony itself through the provision of in-kind services, businesses who want to be associated with a particular category through naming rights and media partners who can help us promote the Event Awards and Symposium.
Partners benefit from a variety of benefits - we can tailor a package based on your objectives.
Finally, as we build the Australian Event Symposium program, we're in the market for experts across the industry to speak at the conference. If you have some key lessons to share on a current industry hot topic, get in touch.
