The Event Awards 2024 is Open for Entries!

Offering 33 categories which span the entire events industry, the Awards have something for everyone. To be recognised for your creativity, contribution, innovation and excellence, take a look at the categories on offer and consider what you’d like to be recognised for!

Events and achievements which took place between 1 July 2023 and 30 June 2024 are eligible for entry into Event Awards 2024.

Categories for the Entire Industry

The Best Event Award categories recognise events in specialised areas, competing against events of a similar nature.

The Achievement Award categories provide opportunities for Australians working at home and on the world stage to showcase their work, creativity and new innovations.

With many specialised services required to make events what they are, the Industry Award categories recognise the importance of industry suppliers and highlight some of the best companies operating in the events field.

With focus on the specialised areas of event management, the Management Award categories provide recognition of their forward-thinking, leadership, excellence and best practice.

Simplified Entry Form

In 2024, we have taken the knife to the entry form for the Best Event categories making it even easier and simpler than ever to enter, while still ensuring the quality of the content gathered meets the criteria to gain recognition as a National Nominee or Winner.

Redefined Regional Areas

The Awards have taken a look at the varying definitions of 'Regional'. To be eligible to enter Best Regional Event and Best Small Regional Event, your event must have been staged in an LGA outside of a Metropolitan Capital City Region (or District for ACT). The list if excluded LGA's can be found at: Regional Event Categories - Excluded LGA's

Budget for Small Event Categories Increased

Taking on board feedback from the industry, and the rising costs, the budget for Best Small Event and Best Small Regional Event has been increased to $500,000 ex GST.

Australian Event Symposium

Over two days before the Awards Ceremony, the Event Symposium will bring together the industry, with a focus on the latest trends, new innovations, opportunities and and changes happening within the business.

Registrations will include access to the conference sessions where you'll be kept up to date with all you need to know, networking functions to expand your contact base, and the Awards Ceremony so you can celebrate with the entire industry... Perhaps you'll be walking away with not only a fountain of new knowledge but a trophy too?

Judges

The Awards are judged by an independent panel of judges who are representative of all areas of the industry by sector and by geography. Judges offer their industry knowledge and experience, peer review entries and provide constructive expert feedback to the entrants.
