The nationwide Search for a Home has commenced! We are looking for a destination to become ‘home’ to the Australian Event Awards and Symposium for 2019-2021, and are now welcoming bids from destinations, regions, government entities, venues or a partnership combination of such organisations.

Whilst we enjoy another sun-drenched stint on the Sunshine Coast in 2018, we'll be looking for the next host destination that can facilitate the best possible delivery of the Australian Event Awards and Symposium. Our exclusive Destination Partner will enjoy the opportunity to boost its events profile and public visitation, and an extended period of showcasing to decision makers across all sectors of the national industry. Flashback: Event Awards 2011

The Event Awards and Symposium has been held in some great locations over the years, and thanks to our phenomenal Project Delivery Partners, we've been able to transform some unconventional spaces into a canvas for a truly memorable night. In 2011, the Awards ceremony was held in the foyer of Allphones Arena (now called Qudos Bank Arena) - check out this time-lapse of the team collaborating to build, execute and bump out the event.

Quick Start Guide: How to Enter the Awards

The Event Awards are known for being easy to enter - but hard to win. The bar is set high for finalist and winners, but the process to put yourself forward is simple. Create a log in to the Entry Portal, and once inside, follow the prompts to open each entry form for the categories you've chosen. You can save your answers in the Portal as you go, or download the questions to work offline.

Partner News: The P.A. People - Covering Key Sporting Events

Our Event Awards Event Communications Partner, The P.A. People have been key in supporting a number of national and international events including the Nitro Circus, Fairfax Canberra Times Running Festival, various NRL matches, State of Origin and the Rugby international test matches. Their team supported the Women's State of Origin and the Pacific NRL Test providing the full sports presentation for both matches which included pre-game anthems and half-time entertainment, along with a full Clear-Com communications system. Sports presentation support was also delivered for the Wallabies vs Ireland game.
