Yesterday the judges were briefed. We’re all very excited to read about the achievements of the Aussie Events Industry.
If you want to be a part of it, but haven’t started your entry, don’t despair.
The Close of Entries of July 15 (next Monday) but to give you a little breathing space, we won’t close the Entry Portal until 3pm AEST on Tuesday July 16. That’s a extra 15 hours or enough time to write 2 entries!
So some people finished their entry weeks ago and are sitting back drinking pina coladas while you angst about whether to put yourself out there and have a go?
Look, its true that some people are done but if you're just making a start you're far from the only one.
People tell us that the entry process is very straight forward taking only a few hours to complete so you still have time but don't leave it too much longer. And there's absolutely no advantage to being a early finisher (except time to check your spelling).
So it's worth putting your achievements forward. At worst you'll get your work peer reviewed by our expert judging panel and get to read their feedback. At best you might become a State or National Finalist and possibly even a Winner.
Think of the recognition and marketing possibilities of winning an event award and just do it!
As most people know, the Event Awards and Symposium will be held in Perth in September. This represents a huge opportunity to take that trip West that you've always meant to take. You can check out the newest Stadium in Australia and put the management team through their paces - prepare to be impressed.
To give you a taste, we caught up with the team from VenuesLive that operates Optus Stadium. Click below to see what they had to say.
With all the fervour around getting entries finished, judges briefed and finalists announced, don't forget to register for the Event Symposium held alongside the Awards.
If we're honest with ourselves, the Event Symposium is probably the more important of the two events to attend. It's a lot less glittery but it will certainly pack a significant punch in the skills department!
