There’s one week to go until entries close for the 2024 Australian Event Awards on Monday August 5.
That’s one more week for you to take a great leap towards industry fame and general adulation. One week to write your heart out about your greatest achievements in the last financial year. If you pulled off something amazing, this is your chance to show the world.
So much of the work done in our industry is invisible – the Event Awards can make the invisible visible – but you have to submit an entry!
Entries close 5 August 2024.

The Australian Event Symposium is making a return this year, and we've already lined up some exciting speakers for the program. Speakers locked in are set to discuss safety and risk, community events and technology - including AI of course - with more to come.
We've opened registrations for the Symposium and to reward those who get in early, there's an Early Bird rate available until August 16, offering a discount on an all-inclusive rate. The Early Bird price combines attending the Symposium and rubbing shoulders with the best of the best of the industry at the Australian Event Awards ceremony on the final night of the Symposium.
If you're still considering whether to enter the Awards this year, there is still enough time left to submit a knockout entry. We know from previous years that some winning entries have gone from nothing to everything in the last week, including making the decision to enter. We've simplified the entry form even further this year and entries max out at 2,600 words. In essence, we want to hear the story of your event or achievement, including the complexities, creativity and challenges that made it exceptional. If you want to see how easy it is to put yourself in the running for an Event Award, make a free account on the online entry portal and download the full entry form to help make your final decision.
Explore the Entry ProcessTo help you through the pointy end of entry writing, we've prepared some helpful tips to get you over the finish line with your submission. The tips cover everything from word limits to innovation, challenges, multimedia, evidence, the importance of not getting too technical and what needs to be in the entry. And if you're still stuck, we've included our contact details too, so you can give us a call if you need to.
