Britta Decker

Britta Decker is the Founding Director of Agentur Professional Conferences & Events, a full-service event management agency based in Darwin.

Originally from Cologne, Germany, Britta has lived and worked in the Northern Territory for over 29 years, building a dynamic career across music, culture, and major event production.

She began her NT journey in 1996 as the European Marketing Coordinator for the internationally acclaimed Aboriginal band Yothu Yindi, and was involved in coordination of the iconic Garma Festival of Traditional Culture from inception to 2009.

From 1999 to 2005, Britta led Music NT, securing long-term funding and founding the National Indigenous Music Awards.

Recognising the Territory’s need for high-quality event delivery, she co-founded Agentur Pty Ltd with business partner Marijana Tadic. Britta has since produced major cultural, corporate, and government events including the, 2019 Uluru Climb Closure Celebrations, Taste of Kakadu Festivals, National Indigenous Tennis Carnivals, and Darwin’s New Year’s Eve with Tones & I during the 2020 Covid Pandemic.

Her qualifications include a Graduate Diploma in Business (Marketing & Finance), and she is an award-winning event leader with deep networks across Indigenous communities, government, and media. Britta is also the Honorary Consul of Germany in Darwin and a proud advocate for culturally respectful event practices across Australia.
