MORE THAN 33 MILLION TICKETS – AND A FEW STORIES TO TELL!
They’ve scanned tens of millions of tickets through the gates, navigated patchy festival-site signal and even helped event teams evacuate 30,000 attendees as a lightning storm rolled in.
With more than 20 years on the frontline of Australian events, the Oztix team has seen just about everything.
We’re proud to welcome Oztix, Australia’s largest independent ticketing company, as a new Event Partner of the Australian Event Awards and Symposium
Built by experience Australian festival and event managers, Oztix understands first-hand the realities of delivering live events – the early starts, late finishes, changing conditions, unexpected curveballs and the enormous satisfaction that comes when the gates finally open.
That experience has shaped a company that has now facilitated more than 33 million ticket sales, while remaining deeply connected to the industry it was built to serve.
“I realised pretty early that you have to love the thrills and spills to choose a career in events – it’s certainly not your average 9-5 job.
But I also learned just how much this industry is built on relationships. Oztix was built on those relationships and partnerships. More than 20 years later, that ethos hasn’t changed.”
Stuart Field, Co-founder and Managing Director, Oztix
That shared experience – and belief in the people behind great events – makes the partnership a natural fit.
“The Australian Event Awards brings together people who understand what it takes to deliver extraordinary events across this country. Sharing knowledge, swapping a few war stories and building new partnerships is exactly where we want to be.”
Kristen Goldup, Government and Industry Partnerships, Oztix.
Oztix won't just be joining us at the Awards.
The team will take to the Australian Event Symposium stage for Revenue by Design: Engineering Ticket Demand, exploring what more than 33 million ticket sales can teach us about audience behaviour and demand.
Drawing on decades of ticketing date and real-world event experience, the session will look beyond simply selling tickets to explore the behaviours, decisions and strategies that can help event organisers better understand - and build - demand.
For anyone responsible for audience, ticketing, marketing or event growth, it's a chance to hear directly from a team that has spent more than two decades watching Australians decide what they'll buy ticket to and why.
