Growing List of Nominees for Australia's Favourite Event 2014

While the judges are locked away finalising their scores in preparation for the announcement of National Finalists on Monday 8 September, now is the time to work with us to raise the profile of public events around Australia.

Nominate the public event you attended and most enjoyed so that Australians can get behind it and vote when voting opens on October 1st.

Anyone can nominate any public event that they attended between July 1 2013 and June 30 2014.

How to nominate an event

Nominations are now open.

It costs nothing to nominate and it only takes a few minutes. Here's what to do:
  1. Go to www.eventawards.com.au
  2. Enter the name of the event and click 'Enter'
  3. Fill in the details for the event
  4. Grab the unique vote code or create a new event code
  5. Send this code to your friends, colleagues, supporters, put it on your website and do whatever else you can to encourage votes.

Tips to boost your nomination

Here are a few hints and tips to boost your nominated event:
  1. Create your own Vote Code - pick a word associated with the event, an acronym or abbreviation for the event
  2. Send out the Vote Code and Direct Voting Link to your friends, colleagues, members and attendees as soon as voting opens
  3. Tell everyone you know that the event is in the running to hopefully win the title of 'Australia's Favourite Event'
  4. Promote the nomination and vote code on your website, through social media and any other marketing channels at your fingertips
  5. Include the vote code in you email signature
  6. Make sure you don't use automated voting software - if you do, the automated votes will be discarded and the event will be disqualified
