Tip # 6 - Spell it out in a concise and effective way!

You do not need to hit the word limit for every question. If you get stuck for a question, try using dot points. Don't worry about fancy formatting. Use specific examples of the strengths of your event, product or service.

Question of the day - Can I enter more than one category? Yes, you can enter as many categories as you are eligible for! You can become a finalist & winner in more than one category.

It's not always the big events!

My event is only small. If I enter, won't I be competing against much bigger events with bigger budgets? How can I stand a chance?

The Australian Event Awards does not seek to reward the biggest event or the biggest budget. The Awards recognise industry best practice and innovation on whatever level it may occur. It doesn’t matter if you are a voluntary committee with a tiny budget in a regional area, if you can demonstrate innovation and excellence then you will have a very good chance of taking home an Australian Event Award. Some smaller events and suppliers have managed to win in previous years against 'bigger' competition.
