Haven't been keeping up? Everything you need to know to enter the Event Awards in 2017

With entries closing on 17 July, thanks to the Event Awards streamlined online entry process, there's still time to be in with a chance to be recognised among the best Australian events and achievements in the local and global industry.

Entry is easy - winning is the hard part.

This is what you need to know:

  • There are 21 categories open for entry - 10 Best Event Categories, 10 Achievement Categories and the Lifetime Achievement Award. See a full list of categories here.
  • If you need to be convinced why you should enter - read this.
  • All entries are 2,600 words - maximum. If you can answer the questions in fewer words, go for it. Weighted criteria show which areas of your entry need the most attention.

  • The online entry process means you're not required to do any fancy formatting, layout or graphic design to complete your entry. The judges are most interested in the content of your entry, not how it looks.
  • You'll need to submit four images with your entry. Video is optional. You're not required to submit any financials.
  • Evidence is important, so we've put together some suggestions to help you out. Read them here
  • We've also got a set of hints and tips to help you write your best possible entry - see them here.
  • Got questions? Ring us on 02 8096 8777 or email us at [email protected]. We're here to help you through the entry process.

Good luck and we look forward to seeing you at the Australian Event Awards Ceremony on the Sunshine Coast on 13 September!
