Haven't been keeping up? The Symposium in a nutshell

Starting with the Australian Event Awards ceremony and ending with you significantly more skilled and suitably inspired, the Australian Event Symposium is an event not to be missed!

In a nutshell, here's what's on offer at the Symposium between 21 September and 23 September on the Sunshine Coast.

8 creative directors from around Australia

Hear about the creative inspiration behind White Night Melbourne, Vivid Sydney, Woodford Folk Festival, Ten Days on the Island, Santos Tour Down Under and the Australian Open as well as from World Events Producer Julie Brooks and Master Event Designer Lena Malouf.

18 skills-based focus sessions

From event security to crowd safety, marketing, social media, volunteer management, sponsorship and more, there is plenty to learn for everyone in the events industry on Day 2 of the Symposium.

Sponsorship Master Class

In addition to all the Day 2 Sponsorship sessions, a three hour Sponsorship Master Class has been added to the program on the afternoon of Day 1, looking at the whole process of securing sponsorship from initial research to sealing the deal - a must for anyone in the business of procuring sponsorship for events.

Networking and social opportunities

The Event Awards will give delegates the opportunity to meet the best of the best in the industry and there will be plenty more chances to continue to make and solidify connections during the Symposium, with an evening of cocktails on the beach and what promises to be a spectacular "Breakfast at the Bar" on the Friday morning. Amazing accommodation and activity deals

Courtesy of our Destination Partner Visit Sunshine Coast, Symposium delegates will have access to a whole host of discounted accommodation and activities on the Sunshine Coast to take advantage of before, during and after the Symposium. And with a destination like this, who wouldn't want to stay longer? Considering it's school holidays in many parts of Australia after the Symposium, it's an excellent way to treat the kids to a little fun in the sun.

Don't miss the Early Bird rate

To get all of the above at the best rate, register by 23 August to take advantage of the Early Bird pricing. We look forward to seeing you on the Sunshine Coast!
