Just under one week until entries close!

It may not feel like it, but one week is plenty of time to start and finish an Australian Event Award entry (or two) before entries close on 10 August.

Forget fancy formatting, we just want answers

Presentation does not factor into entering the Event Awards. You'll need to supply three images and you can choose to submit a short video, but otherwise, there will be not collating of porfolios or binding of impressively slick documentation. What we're after are great answers to the questions posed, supported by as much evidence as you can throw at us.

Is it a novel? Is it an essay? No, it's an Event Awards entry

On average there are only nine substantial questions per category and the maximum word limit for an Event Awards entry is around 2,500 words from start to finish. We're happy with bullet points and we advise getting to the point over poetic prose. What we're trying to say here is: entering is designed to be easy - winning is the hard part.

It's not just about national finalists and winners

Aside from recognising the top four events or achievements in each category nationwide, the Event Awards also recognise winners for each state and territory for every Best Event Category. We think that's a good enough reason to give it a shot.

Show your appreciation for your event manager

For the first time, the Event Awards have a category recognising individual event managers. If someone extraordinary managed your event, why not put your money where your mouth is (so to speak) and enter them for Event Manager of the Year?

Get that winning feeling

If you haven't had the opportunity to ace a test since high school, the Event Awards are providing the chance to get that top-of-the-world feeling back. We've heard that being announced as a finalist feels pretty fabulous - and even more so if you end up winning. But remember, you've gotta be in it to win it.
