You have a little under three weeks to get your entry in for the 2019 Event Awards. It’s easily achievable, but we suggest getting underway now to avoid the last minute dash!

Why Enter?

We often ask people why they enter the Event Awards. Of course the answer is different for everyone. Some are looking for recognition for their hard-working team, others for feedback from the panel of independent experts and everyone talks about the value of the marketing platform offered by finalist status (or, of course, a win). Other reasons often include the opportunity for some self-reflection on best practices, a bit of internal marketing or the collegiality and networking of the Awards Night filled with all the industry players and the exciting air of celebration of our great industry.

Whatever your reason, we've worked hard to make the process of entering the Event Awards as simple, risk-free and cost-effective as possible. The judges make sure that the process is fair and robust and all the rules and regulations are published online for an open and transparent approach. Remember that if you enter the Event Awards and don't make it through to finalist stage, you still get judges feedback and no one will ever know you entered.

It is with eternal gratitude and more than a tinge of sadness that we announce the retirement of Sandy Hollway AO from the Industry Judging Panel. A titan of the Australian Events Industry (among others of course), Sandy has been a guiding hand on the whole project since its inception in 2009. We are be indebted to Sandy for his dedication, expertise, tireless enthusiasm and personal friendship. Sandy has indeed left the Events Industry a significant gift in his contribution the the Event Awards and in his passion for seeing this important Australian industry thrive. Thank you.
