David Grant was heralded by many as one of Australia’s greatest ever event producers, known for his ability to make the impossible possible in the creation of high impact public and private events.

He began his first event management company, David Grant Special Events, in 1987 and was particularly lauded for his events at 10 consecutive Summer and Winter Olympic Games, for his nine Cointreau Balls and, throughout his career, for his innovation and inventiveness which saw him achieve several firsts in the national events industry.

He received over 35 industry awards, including winning MEA’s Australian Event Organiser of the Year 10 times. In 2014 he was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Australian Event Awards.

He passed away in December 2015.
